Joanna Colangelo
The Other Spread is managed, researched and written by Joanna Colangelo. Through her previous roles as Vice President of Community Impact and Director of Community Impact at the Albuquerque Community Foundation, Joanna has an extensive network of personal and professional relationships in New Mexico – especially among populations that are often overlooked by history or mainstream media. She is now the Principal at Razem Worldwide, a community impact, economic development and strategic philanthropy firm.
In addition to her community work, Joanna has written professionally for nearly two decades. Her columns have appeared regularly in The Huffington Post and she has published multiple articles on American culture in The Columbia University Journal of American Studies. She has presented lectures at various conferences throughout the United States, and in 2015, a series of short filmed interviews Joanna directed and edited were included as part of a multimedia exhibit at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History. Joanna holds a BA in American Studies from Skidmore College and an MA in American Studies from Bowling Green State University.
